El Tempisque Farm was started by the Herrarte family in the early 1900's believing that coffee was able to have great results at El Tecuamburo Volcano, where the farm is located. Now it is owned and run by Boris, a fifth generation coffee producer. He has worked the coffee farm since 1985 and has always believed to integrate with the nature that surrounds the farm.

Through out the years it has been recognize for its coffee, winning some cup of excellences in its time.

For years the farm has helped the community that surrounds the farm. When the farm has been working in great conditions it has given more than 200 jobs. Although, for the last couple of years between "roya" rust and coffee prices falling, much of the coffee plantation has been affected and the farm is suffering as a result.
